Hello and welcome! I am Nicole and together with my husband, Rick, we are thrilled to be your hosts here at Seabreeze on the Harbor. Our journey to Deer Isle took many years. After 24 years serving the Country it was time for us to begin a new chapter. Over the years we have lived in too many places to count including every corner of the US. But ultimately the call to live a simpler life drew us back to the Maine Coast.

 

I​ grew up summering in Maine and have many fond memories of hiking, making forts in the moss covered woods and hours spent dropping blueberries into silver pails, just as little Sal did in Robert McCloskey's Blueberries for Sal...Kerplink, kerplank, kerplunk.

Rick was stationed in Maine in the early 2000's and spent close to four years as a survival instructor in the Rangely mountains. We made our home in midcoast Maine during that time with our three children. It was a magical time for our children and Maine still remains dear to their hearts.

We discovered Deer Isle and Stonington while exploring coastal Maine. We were immediately captivated...the rugged coastline surrounded by pine studded islands, the rich artistic presence on the island, respect for the hardworking folks who make their living on the sea, and the strong sense of community and heart.
